Keplr Studios
Our name “Keplr” derives from the former NASA space telescope, Kepler. In its 10 years serving as a scientific instrument it observed a little over half a million stars and discovered 2662 exoplanets, revolutionising how we view our galaxy today! Simply put, Kepler opened our eyes to the diversity and quantity of planets that exist within our galaxy.
These findings told us that on a clear evening, 20 to 50 percent of the stars visible when stargazing are likely to have small, possibly rocky, planets similar in size to Earth and located within habitable zones of their parent stars.
Above all, Kepler taught us that we’re not as alone as we once thought and paves the way for future generations to make exciting discoveries. The largest camera to ever be launched into space never took a picture of planet Earth but put a lens on humanity as we know it. We think that's pretty cool.
